Other schools in the area include Bailey Middle School, which opened in 2006, and Cornelius Elementary School. With a growing population and so many attractions and recreational opportunities in the area, it's no wonder the business community is also thriving. In addition to hundreds of independent and locally owned enterprises, some major economic drivers include Curtis Screw Company, which manufactures precision machine parts for many industries, including the automotive industry, out of a 50,000-square-foot plant.
