Discovery Place

Looking for something fun to do this summer with the kids? Discovery Place museum located in the heart of Uptown Charlotte, is a great place to go! This fully interactive museum is perfect for kids at any age! There are many different, exciting, exhibitions that happen every day, including "Cool Stuff" where you can explore the ways physics affects your life. "KidScience" is another interactive exhibit for kids ages 1-7. It is a great place to learn about math and science, hands-on! In "Project Build" Kids are able to learn survival skills by building structures and embracing their creativeness by drawing floor plans  and designing functional structures. The Discovery Place also offers Summer Camps for kids in Kindergarten to 8th grade! This is a great way to get kids excited about learning, even when the school year is over! The museum is open Sunday: Noon-5:00pm, Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:00pm, and Saturday 10:00am-6:00pm. The price to get in is relatively inexpensive! Adults are $17, Children are $13 and Seniors are $15!
